...Marcia Morgan is a researcher, author, and lecturer, who has worked in the criminal justice field for 27 years.

   Marcia is a former deputy sheriff and correctional officer and presently a consultant with expertise and experience in research, facilitation, needs assessments, focus groups, special targeted projects, criminal case consultation, public education campaigns/media work and materials relating to criminal justice, training and curriculum development, juvenile justice, gender and social issues. Through Migima Designs, he brings to her work a unique blend and energy of first-hand practical experience and the analytical expertise from an outside perspective.
...She is a published author and highly sought after trainer and lecturer around the world. She has written several books, training materials, and articles on crime investigation and prevention. She also provides technical assistance on policy projects to government agencies. Marcia is intimately familiar with a wide array of criminal justice issues involving men, women, juveniles, and children.
...Marcia primarily contracts with government and non-profit agencies to design community campaigns and surveys, needs assessments and research/evaluation studies. She has worked with local multidisciplinary criminal justice planning committees as well as national groups, such as the International Association of Chiefs of Police. She has recruited and facilitated focus groups in schools, businesses, drop-in centers, churches, and prisons. She is comfortable working with a variety of people in challenging settings, e.g., she conducted 12 focus groups for Spanish-speaking and Russian-speaking immigrants.
...Marcia received her bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University, two master’s degrees in Sociology and Public Affairs/Administration from the University of Oregon, and did doctoral work in Sociology/Criminology at the University of Oregon.
