Web Strategy and Development
Roles: consultant in web strategy, user interface design, information architecture and usability.
...During site redesigns, Cathy creates and administers user surveys and conducts user focus groups in order to determine the site’s new information architecture. Through usability testing, she validates the general approach, which includes the navigation structure, and localization issues. A colleague describes Cathy as, “Not only an advocate of technology, but a user.” She’s an English major and MBA who is just as comfortable scanning through HTML or designing database tables as writing a communications plan.

Marketing Communications
Roles: account executive, project manager, writer
...In addition to web strategy and development, Cathy has a strong marketing communications background and has worked on and managed many diverse projects: video productions, event planning, executive interviews, writing brochures and newsletters, and logo development. Each project starts with research to determine the audience needs and then after launch, measures how the project met objectives.

...Clients have ranged from companies such as Dow Chemical, Motorola, and Procter & Gamble to educational not-for-profits. Projects have taken Cathy to Japan, Venezuela, the Philippines, Turkey and Mexico.

...Cathy earned her BA in English Literature and her MBA from the University of Michigan. She is a member of the American Marketing Association and is based in Bellevue, Washington.
