He has served as the chairman of the thirty member METRO Citizens policy Advisory Committee on transportation, served as chair of the Oregon City Budget Committee and numerous other task forces and committees. He served as interim manager for both the City of Mt. Angel and King City during times of extreme difficulty and conflict.
