...Phil Lane is senior marketing, finance and business development professional with 20+ years experience developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives, executive communication and customer events. He is known for his ability to generate revenue, build and sustain customer loyalty and produce a sustainable return on investment for large- and small-scale marketing events.
During his career at Hewlett-Packard, he developed and executed a broad range of strategic marketing initiatives and sales programs that propelled new sales and customer renewals; and helped large enterprise customers manage and realize value from their IT infrastructure. ...Phil’s strategic contributions to customer loyalty and executive events include:
• Managing a company-sponsored marketing agreement with a professional racing team initiated to build relationships and showcase HP technology and solutions with senior executive business customers. He’s produced programs for top-level customers in more than 18 worldwide events, resulting in $20M in sales and contract renewals during a two-year period.

• Providing comprehensive marketing support and guidance for customers while generating $1.3 million in additional services revenues as part of HP’s largest communication initiative to all current customers helping them manage the roll over to the new millennium. The program reached tens of thousands of customers and involved hundreds of people from cross-functional teams whose primary focus was product sales and customer service.

• Managing North American research projects involving customer satisfaction and competitive positioning. Phil conducted customer research in support of a company-wide customer initiative, which led to process improvements and deliverables for customers. He also partnered with IDC on a consumer coop payment benchmark study.

• Developing and implementing customer and employee communications for a 100-day strategic initiative for call-center restructuring, which improved technical telephone support for customers.

• Developing and producing live television broadcasts for senior leadership. He executed successful communication to thousands of Customer Support employees in hundreds of locations in North America regarding financial results, strategic initiatives, and customer feedback.

• Managing a $300K+ per year demand-generation payment program for HP distributors and large consumer retailers, such as Best Buys, Staples and Office Depot. Under his leadership, he improved retailer coop benefit calculations allowing for increased sales programs and in-store sales.

• Prior to joining HP, Phil worked for six years in a variety of travel industry positions in which he mastered customer service and hospitality industry best practices. He holds the prestigious designation of Certified Travel Counselor from the Institute of Certified Travel Agents.
